About Me

I possess extensive UX/Web/UI Designing and Front End Developing experience in both Waterfall and Agile processes. With an MS in Professional and Technical Communication focused on User Centered Design from New Jersey Institute of Technology (with highest honors) and Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul University (with highest honors), I have a full understanding of the whole life cycle of a desktop application and/or web based software/site development project.

As an experienced certified SAFe Agilist, certified ScrumMaster, certified Scrum Product Owner, I can work well in an Agile/Scrum oriented environment efficiently. My specialties include User-Centered and User Experience Designing, Scrum/Agile Process Implementation, Web Designing and Front End Development, and SharePoint Site Development.


TriZetto 10/11 to Current: Senior (UX/UI) Designer

  • Translates business requirements for software features and functionality into detailed interactive prototypes, storyboards, flow charts, sketches, comprehensive wireframes and other documents that effectively communicate the information design and interaction design.

  • Serves as the expert in the user experience design process for the company and providing leadership on user experience best practices. Plans and directs user experience validation and testing.

  • Manage a small group of consultants towards successful deployment of small business corporate projects.

  • Responsible for research, design, development, set-up, maintenance, administration and remote hosting (IIS or UNIX) of client web sites.

  • Conduct Web Based Training for Basic Web Designing and Advanced Web Development online courses using Camtasia and Adobe Captivate.

  • Create corporate websites (internet or intranet portals) from scratch:

  • Gather requirements using interviews with stakeholders, user research, focus groups, and persona creation.

  • Create visual comps using Adobe Photoshop and slice images using ImageReady.

  • Create wireframes and site maps/Information Architecture using Visio.

  • Create high definition HTML prototypes and functional flows using Dreamweaver and Homesite.

SecondMarket 02/09 to 07/11: User Experience Designer II

  • Performed the role that combines the disciplines of psychology and software production design to ensure delivery of products that give users the best possible experience with the product.

  • Applied knowledge of cognitive processes to simplify the user interface in order to increase usability which ultimately increase the product's efficiency and effectiveness as well as help prevent product interface misuse.
  • Improved the usability, usefulness, and desirability of SecondMarket's interactive web-based financial trading systems by applying knowledge of a person's cognitive processes to the design of the interfaces, their function, how they are used, their colors and their look and their feel.
  • Conducted user interviews and requirements workshops to collect, document and communicate requirements using visualization techniques.
  • Assisted SecondMarket's marketing and sales efforts on part-time basis with creative design of web and email correspondence.

Logical Design Solutions (LDS) 06/08 to 12/08: Consultant, User Experience

  • Consulted with clients and stakeholders from Valero (HR portal project), Colgate (eBuy portal project) and Schering-Plough (Asmanex Competitive Analysis).

  • Used iterative design techniques to translate findings into a solid MS SharePoint intranet portal solution model, information architecture and design.

  • Planned and executed a range of user assessment methods and tools including contextual inquiries, iterative design based on user feedback, heuristic analysis, and participatory design exercises in projects assigned.

  • Researched, designed and tested low and high fidelity technology solution prototypes/wireframes using Visio and Dreamweaver.

  • Documented wireframes and web component specifications on individual web page intents using Visio and PowerPoint.

CheckFree /FISERV 01/01 to 05/08: Sr Web Designer/Developer and UI Specialist

  • Designed, developed and maintained CheckFree’s intranet product support sites in the enterprise-wide portal environment on Oracle’s Universal Content Management (formerly Stellent) and Microsoft SharePoint servers.

  • Took the lead in institutionalizing usability into CheckFree’s software development life cycle using User-Centered Design methodologies (analysis, design, implementation and deployment of web products).

  • Translated audience, technology and other key product requirements into effective CheckFree UI design solutions.

  • Performed expert code reviews, usability testing and troubleshooting of all CheckFree web applications, and then recommended fixes that include implementation of solutions in both back and front end.

  • Maintained and owned CheckFree’s UI, navigation and usability documentations applicable to all CheckFree Investment Services web products.

  • Created Web based tutorials as online help for CheckFree’s intranet using Camtasia and Captivate.

  • Created and integrated multimedia web components (picture galleries, movies, and FLASH animation) using Camtasia, SwishMax or Adobe Photoshop Suite.

  • Mentor and influence other members of the Technical Communication team on Human Factors and User-Centered Design processes.

ClickUpdate, Inc. 08/00 to 12/00: Senior Web Integrator

  • Took the lead in all web integration/HTML coding for all ClickUpdate client sites.

  • Responsible for the integration and QA of backend Active Server Pages programs into front-end HTML pages for ClickUpdate's corporate clients.

  • Assisted in the creation and implementation of templates and the lead coder for Click Update's projects: Long Distance of Michigan Sales, Merrill Lynch Sales Center, and Print to Win Sales Center.

JK Design, Inc. 01/00 to 08/00: Web Designer/Junior ASP Developer

  • Performed onsite web developing responsibilities for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE).
